[WinExtra] Regardless of whether the network you are taking part in is Facebook, Twitter or even FriendFeed this economy of friending is being built on the inflationary value of the so-called leaders or early adopters who come into any new network with their train of hopeful hanger-on’s. As ever hopeful believers in the equality of the Web 2.0 ethos we stand before the gates of this unattainable friending engine on the off chance we might say something or link to something that will gain us entry into that higher plane of network friending.

[Blog for Democracy] No voter file for you!: Great follow up post, Mel - all points I agree with completely. For the record, I fought against this for months while at the State Party and was very vocal about the need to use VoteBuilder effectively and fairly, and as Catherine and others have mentioned, to truly build this party for the longterm not 9 targeted races.

[LET NOT AMERICA FAIL US!] Emailing: When Change Is Not Enough The Seven Steps To Revolution ...: As this blog has long argued, conservatives invariably govern badly because they don't really believe that government should exist at all ” except, perhaps, as a way to funnel the peoples' tax money into the pockets of party insiders. This conflicted (if not outright hostile) attitude toward government can't possibly lead to any outcome other than bad management, bad policy, and eventually such horrendously bad social and economic outcomes that people are forced into the streets to hold their leaders to account.
