[The American Spectator and AmSpecBlog] Apparently, by doing a complete 180 on the "crisis" level on the economy, its become apparent that either a) Obama has no clue what he's doing or b) the politicization of the Oval Office (a la Karl Rove) continues. You know, that which the Left despised so much?

[Hillary Is 44] Hillary Is 44 » Blog Archive » The George W. Obama Economy Stinks: What Mullah Herbert does not understand, he is too busy playing the blame game, is that Americans are quite aware that Obama is building doll houses for his daughters on the White House lawn (presumably with TelePrompters installed), devouring $100 steaks, partying like its 1999, traveling hither and yon, including weekends relaxing at Camp David - instead of producing a credible economic plan that creates/saves the financial system - instead of producing a budget that is not a Hopium soaked document. Did we mention Obama is going to Europe this month?
[ProgressivePage.com] Picture This: Karl Rove in Handcuffs | ProgressivePage.com: Rove, is negotiating with him about terms under which he will deign to comply with the law. This is not only outrageous, but unacceptable. Even the Obama administration is tiptoeing around this issue. It’s unbelievable. What are they afraid of?
[Politonomist] Lies of Obama: Credibility or Charisma?: It would also be respectable and responsible for Obama and his economic advisers to stop pretending there are no other schools of economic thought on the matter. It’s obvious that most citizens don’t understand economics and have no desire to: factors are too deep for many, too complicated for some, and simply uninteresting for most.
[Crooks and Liars] Karl Rove whines about 'old style politics' of targeting Limbaugh: And last but not least, the entire US Attorneys firing scandal, at which he is the epicenter -- possibly the apotheosis of the Bush/Rove White House's politicization of every aspect of policy.
[Psyche, Science, and Society] Psyche, Science, and Society » Ithwick: Why Obama protects Bush ...: Polls increasingly show that”despite the tanking economy”close to two-thirds of the public want investigations into the Bush teams use of coercive interrogation and warrantless wiretapping. The fundamental mistake underpinning all the thinking above is that openness about past errors leads inexorably to ugliness, politicization, and rancor.
[They gave us a republic... - Front Page] Barack Obama and the Imperial Presidency: John Conyers has subpoenaed Karl Rove for the second time this session for testimony regarding the politicization of the Justice Department. [FRC Blog] Gregg's Revolt Unmasks Obama's Highly Politicized White House: A recent White House staffing decision has also alarmed knowledgeable observers. On February 9 Jon Ward of The Washington Times wrote about opposition researcher "Shauna Daly, a 29-year-old Democratic operative," who "was named last month to the new job of White House counsel research director." That is, she is now the top researcher inside the White House legal office.
[AlterNet.org: PEEK] News Flash: Karl Rove Not Above the Law After All | Democracy and ...: Do you think Corporate America isn't ready to ditch Obama declare martial law and put the likes of Rove and people like him back in power if they feel at all threatened? The problem with the left is we have a heart, and are humanitarian and can't fathom that what the right describes as evil can manifest itself to form of all kinds of Karl Roves.
[Megan McArdle] Obama too sunny? - Megan McArdle: As to the former charge of dishonesty, isn't it possible, just possible, that the Obama Administration is staffed by economists -- like, I don't know, Christie Romer, Peter Orzag, Larry Summers, et al. -- who honestly believe in public spending as a valid tool for spurring aggregate demand, who honestly think the stimulus package signed by the President last month will do more good than harm, and who honestly think that macroeconomic assumptions and forecasts from before its passage ought to be adjusted up?
[NO QUARTER] Charlie Rose Speaks to Tim Geithner : NO QUARTER: The title is “How Specialization, Regulation and Politicization brought down American Capitalism” I hope to clearly show how over time the complexity of our system led to a series of regulations that where politicized over time to grant competitive advantage to those with influence and power;
[neo-neocon] neo-neocon » Blog Archive » Obama: “Dont say I didnt warn you!”: There’s no room in Obama’s mind for the idea that many of those who oppose him might merely disagree about the best way to help the economy, or that some of their arguments might have merit, or that certain of their actions might benefit as all, although not in a direct welfare-state sort of way. He’d rather cast all of his opponents as the selfish enemy opposing the good, which is defined as his mantra of “change.”

[Khmer IT] Khmer IT » Blog Archive » Israeli Spying in the United States: Bamford devotes a portion of his argument to the detailing of the operations of a third Israeli wiretap company, NICE Systems, which he describes as "a major eavesdropper in the U.S." that "keeps its government and commercial client list very secret." Formed in 1986 by seven veterans of Unit 8200, NICE software "captures voice, email, chat, screen activity, and essential call details," while offering "audio compression technology that performs continuous recordings of up to thousands of analog and digital telephone lines and radio channels." NICE Systems has on at least one occasion shown up on the radar of U.S. counterintelligence. During 2000-2001, when agents at the FBI and the CIA began investigating allegations that Israeli nationals posing as "art students" were in fact conducting espionage on U.S. soil, one of the Israeli "art students" was discovered to be an employee with NICE Systems.
[Hot Air TV] Hot Air » Blog Archive » Obama White House coordinating 527 ...: Remember when the Democrats had their panties in a wad over the presence of Karl Rove in the Bush White House? They objected to the politicization of the executive branch and the apparent and alleged political coordination between Rove and outside groups. Now that Barack Obama has cleaned out the White House, though, things like that will never, ever happen again. Right? Right?
