 [bobbyLand] Bush on Economy: ”˜Wall Street Got Drunk’: Bush’s greatest assets can also be one of his weaknesses.  In this day and age most people don’t take the time to read something all the way through.  They just see a headline that says, “Bush commented that Wall Steet got Drunk” and that’s what they run with.  ABC, CBS and NBC know this and it’s the reason why they have sucess in easily discrediting Bush by posting fancy one-liners that speak in absolutes.  President Bush has a gift of putting things in layman’s terms.  It’s not easy to do when you’re above average intelligence.  Reagan was the same way.  It’s these politicians that speak in a language that most of us don’t understand (or sometimes don’t WANT to understand) that make things too complicated to where people are just reaching for the one-line absolute…..
