[China Wealth] Homes Inns, an economy-hotel chain that's been a big beneficiary of China's travel industry boom, expects to keep up its rapid expansion in the next few years, CEO David Sun told reporters. Since 2004, the Shanghai-based company has increased the number of hotels in its chain from 20 to 700.

[News] The major proponents of this theory are taxpayer-funded bodies like the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which needs to justify its £53m annual cost to their taxpayer by sniffing out inequality. Incidentally the EHRC employs a disproportionately low level of whites, men and Christians compared to the general population, so by abolishing it the Government would be discriminating against women and minorities.

Beijing's 9 Day Traffic Jam Creates Mini-Economy - PSFK

[PSFK] With a population of over 1.3 billion, China’s urban areas are no stranger to traffic congestion. The latest jam on the Beijing-Tibet expressway has reached epic proportions, stretching one-hundred kilometres. Expected to last around nine days, the slow-moving traffic is a result of road maintenance and an increase in cargo-carrying trucks. Roadside merchants have set up shop along the expressway to meet the needs of frustrated drivers, offering water and food products far-above market price.

[Hot Air » Top Picks] As usual, the AP has some interesting results as a consequence of their sample. When looking at the overall partisan split, the seemingly innocuous D+4 topline (43/39/5?) masks a larger split by distributing independents. Without independent leaners, the actual sample split is 32/25 for Democrats, with 31% independents. That +7 overstates Democratic support, which is probably why the AP gets a 49% overall approval rating for Obama (with 50% disapproving) while pollsters like Gallup find approval ratings in the low 40s instead.
